The
antioxidant compounds found in peaches, may block the growth of breast cancer cells
and its ability to spread , according to a study by scientists at Washington
State University and the University of Texas.
In reaching
this conclusion, the specialists experimented with mice , which was implanted
under the skin cancer cells and given to eat peach extract . Within weeks , the
researchers observed an inhibition of the reporter gene , indicating the
suspension of metastasis.
The
cinentíficos claim that phenolic compounds present in the peach extract are
responsible for the inhibition of breast cancer . They also claimed that these
compounds could be added to the therapies used to reduce the risk of
metastasis, one of the main problems with this type of cancer and tumors.
Likewise ,
indicated that consuming two or three peaches by day would have a similar
effect to that was performed during the experiment with mice. The results
obtained by the peach become fully beneficial to health.
In this
regard , Dr. Miguel Lopez Prado, gynecologist and obstetrician of ONCOGYN
Preventive Gynecology Center , says that the antioxidants in peach provide
these properties against breast cancer. That is why the specialist recommends
to include in our daily diet of five or six fruits like peaches , plums ,
grapes, granada , among others
